It is a well written, page-turning read.
The characters are all very diverse and unique in their own way which really makes the story interesting. Its a classic mystery and even I was shocked about who the real culprit was. Its a good story about the system of popularity, the way we, students, perceive our importance in our social settings, and how wrong we are about who we think we are.
Our main character, Miranda Prospero, goes through a small or quite large transformation. She starts off as a pretentious high school mean girl, fallen from grace. She still, despite her recent overthrown state, has this sense of importance and pride which only adds on to her already large ego. As the story progresses, however, she gets to know people a little better, and she even learns some about herself. She goes from proud to humiliated, which is a very great thing indeed.
