Thoughts:
I've never read a book that surrounded itself solely on romance until In Serena's Web. The plot, is executed perfectly imperfectly and the subplot simply decorates the story of an insane person with a little "too sane" person. In Serena's Web is a perfect read for a quiet weekend or a vacation. It is a beautiful page turning novel and descriptively tells a budding romance from start to finish.
The characters are very different and easily noticeable, which is necessary to a good book. In Serena's Web is definitely a fulfilling read for the romantic. I personally loved the main character, Serena, because she is complex, but extremely human. She is a good example of who I would look up to. The story also paints a picture of the roles of females in the world today, very smart, driven, and compassionate. It's another novel that proves women can do just as well under pressure as men and probably win more business relations.
She's seductive and lovely and extremely powerful as well as cunning. The best part is going along with how the other characters come to realize this.
I recommend this book to anyone who can handle their romance and a little smidge of erotic scenes.
